Médusa Earrings

Description

The initial goal of this collection was to represent the goddess Aphrodite with a visual design inspired by the series of color lithographs called "The Seasons" by the artist Alfons Mucha. It turned out that Mucha's Art Nouveau style lent itself much better to the representation of the Gorgon Medusa. Indeed the way of using curves, humorously called "noodle style", immediately refers to the visuals of the Gorgon. Nevertheless it is the face of the Venus de Milo that served as a model. With the Medusa collection, we wanted to represent the Gorgon as the beautiful young woman that Poseidon fell in love with, as well as the movement and beauty of her hair before her transformation.
